At the heart of this ministry is a simple but powerful goal: to share the life-changing message of salvation only found in Jesus Christ with as many people as possible -- one billboard at a time. The Gospel is the most urgent and hopeful message the world will ever hear and my mission is to boldly proclaim it in places where it can’t be ignored. Through scripture-based, eye-catching billboards placed in high-traffic areas, I aim to plant seeds of truth, spark curiosity, and point hearts toward the love, grace, and forgiveness found only in our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether someone is driving to work, sitting in traffic, or simply passing by, my prayer is that each billboard message serves as a reminder to all people in the world that we can not only receive forgiveness and redeemed from the curse of sin, but also have a personal relationship with the God of ALL of creation!
I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in March of 2020. Let me start out by saying two important things:
So here's how the Lord came to me...
During the later part of March of 2020, I was sitting at my kitchen table - everyone else in the house was asleep. It was about midnight, and I had the thought drop into my head - to watch "The Passion of the Christ." At the time, thinking it was my own thought, I was like, "Wow, how appropriate! It's close to Easter." So, I walked upstairs to my bedroom and turned the movie on. No one woke up. It was just me and God.
I cried through the entire movie. It was horrible to see such a graphic portrayal of how they beat Jesus, spit on Him, flesh hanging from His body, and after all that -- nailed Him to the cross. My heart was wrecked. I always believed Jesus was God's son, but I lacked understanding of what His death really had to do with me. I believed he died for my sin, but I did not realize I was born into sin. That lead me to always trying not to sin, not knowing I was already born guilty.
Now, thankfully, I understand that we are all born into sin.
After the movie, I had another thought drop into my mind: "download the Bible app." At the time, I still thought these were my thoughts -- but now I know both of these were the Lord leading me! So again, I thought "Wow, I really do need to read some of the Bible."
Mind you, at this point even after watching the movie I still didn't understand what Jesus' death had to do with me. I also couldn't even understand why the Bible was called "God's Word." I could not comprehend at the time that the Bible was actually God's words on paper given to us from God. It's sad now that I look back on just how blind I was, how lost I was. 🥹
So that night I downloaded the Bible and started reading it, and reading it, and reading it. The Lord was waking me up every morning between 6:00 & 6:30 AM for about two months. He woke me to read with Him and pray. This happened up until I finished the New Testament (except The Revelation of Jesus Christ). Almost as if he was letting me know I now had a good foundation. It was comparable to me having a "Driver's Ed teacher" and after was able to take the wheel and be responsible for continuing on my own.
It was about 3 months later that he lead us to the church we now attend.
I was born again after reading "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him." It was almost as if I had taken my first breath of air in this world. Those words struck me like lightning. At that moment I felt his presence, and it's nothing you can explain, but you know that you know when you're in the presence of God. There were times that the Holy Spirit was so heavy on me, I had a hard time taking deep breaths! Watching the movie prior to reading helped give me a picture in my mind when I read. God is so amazing! To show me first, then have me read to help me... Just mind blowing!
